Henkel Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Cord is a new, faster, more versatile pipe sealant which out-dates traditional tapes and hemp/pastes combinations.

Impregnated with paste to give a high pressure seal to your joints. Loctite 55 should be wound a few times around the thread and once the joint has been closed tightly, will withstand pressures in the region of 40 bar.

Use for cold and hot water applications, as well as potable water or gas. Use on copper, steal or plastic pipe systems.

Loctite 55 is resistant to:
Hot and cold drinking water
Hot water
Domestic gas
Natural Gas
Liquefied gas in gaseous state
Gas condensates
Compressed air
Industrial oils (contains silicone oil.)

Not suitable for heating oil or fuels – Use instead Loctite 577.

Complies with EN 751-2 and has DVGW approval. Certifies to ANSI/ NSF Standard 61
